    Description

    Nice mid-century teapot in a sleek shape made by Pope-Gosser China Company of Cochocton, Ohio. Vintage 1950's. This is from their Futura Line in the Coupe shape, pattern name CATHAY. Body color is of a very light cream, just slightly off-white or ivory, not stark white, and featuring a floral pattern on both sides in brown and blue. Platinum trim on the handles, around the spout and around the top rim.
    Trademark: Futura by Pope-Gosser CATHAY
    SIZE: Measures 6-1/8" tall at the top of the spout; approximately 8-3/4" from spout to handle; body is approximately 5-1/2" wide. Weight is just under 1-1/2 pounds.
    Very Good Condition with no chips or cracks. Only very light wear to the platinum trim. The interior is very clean with just a very light stain on the inside bottom in the crease. I have taken a photo of the finial on the lid where there is a shallow and slight separation in the ceramic material at one end, very minor, and does not affect its integrity in the least.
