    Note: D-235 is my inventory control # only.
    Here is a
    used Starrett No. 79A-8, "Yankee" spring-type, outside 8" caliper.  (This is a older Starrett stamped Made in U.S.A).
    It works great and is the solid-nut type with flat legs.  It opens to measure the full 8" range.  This  caliper has been cleaned with a Scotchbrite pad and there are a few stain spots on it.  It would buff out nicely should you wish to.  I didn't see any owner engravings on it.  These run .00 new from Starrett today.
