Pope Gosser Antique Oval Covered Serving Vegtable Dish Bowl Pink Rose Floral

Description

This early 20th century Pope Gosser serving piece comes complete with a oval dish and matching lid. The dish rests on a oval pedestal foot and has two loop handles with a molded design. The domed lid is topped by an ornate finial with gold detailing. The pieces have been decorated in a Gosser 's elegant floral motif and best guess this pattern predates the 1930's.  The pattern displays garlands of cabbage roses in various shades of pink, with hand applied detailing in gold accents. This pattern is very close to the  Florence so it would add a nice complement to that set.
The covered vegetable dish is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Very little wear to the gold accent trim. The piece stands 6.5" tall as measured to the top of the handle on the lid and is 12" across as measured from the outside edges of the handles.
