    Description

Please email with any questions. 1909 postmark on this RPPC showing a house destroyed by a tornado. I think the tornado struck on May 1 and did the worst damage in the southwestern portion of the city where it uprooted trees, tore the roofs off of houses and a factory. This tornado was part of the tornado outbreak of late April 1909 that affected much of the central and southern United States between April 29 and May 1, 1909.Postcard has some slight wear on edges and corners. The photo is oddly developed with black and white in the center and sepia toward the edges.
