About Virgin PTFE Teflon:
Virgin PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) or Teflon is marked by its superior chemical resistance, excellent thermal and electrical insulation, a low coefficient of friction and a working temperature range of 400°F to 500°.
Virgin PTFE is made from un-reprocessed PTFE resin and lacks fillers like glass fiber, carbon or graphite. It has a variety of applications including use in seals, insulators, and electrical parts, and is a better choice than nylon and acetal for plain bearings, gears and side plate.
